######## INX 32 ######## ( ISO and md5sum now removed from this server) Will soon have a decimal point placed in front of the 32 I think :) 0.32 seems closer to a reflection of the current state... ? Newish: Mutt with IMAPS, plus a configuration script (asks for config info) Trying to get elinks to behave with a ~/.mailcap file ( anything that lands in ~/inx comes from /etc/skel on the disc ) Using msmtp for smtp with Mutt. "asx" is a clumsy attempt at parsing evil MS .asx files so that they play when accessed from elinks. Well, some of them play, anyway :) If anyone knows of a way to parse .ram Real Media files without getting bogus characters at the end of the URL, please advise. Added various menus. Colour scheme for net-related stuff "green and gold" IRC - very basic intro to Irssi ( basic as in, about 3 hints plus URL and "take me to the home page" ) Similar for IRC "behaviour", with a "take me to" the Ubuntu IrcGuidelines Wiki. Reshuffled menus. I think the "dropped to a prompt at the wrong moment" problem is largely fixed... Rewrote the GNU Screen "tour" as a submenu with some examples. Dialup with pppconfig now working, including connect/disconnect menu choices. Direct DSL with pppoeconf probably also works ( only tried it once). Probably some other stuff that I have forgotten :) #################################### Please don't tell anyone to download this unless they are trustworthy to understand that it is not yet "public." (There are still issues to be sorted) #################################### To do: Need to remove Ubuntu bootup graphics /logo ( trademark issues etc.) and replace with "INX" graphics of some kind. Need a web page / pages - probably with some "static" info from the tutorials etc. Also better for people who are not on-line. I'm sure there are lots of other "To Do" items: send me any you can think of... ################################### Please send feedback, flames, suggestions, bugfixes and reports, and beer and pizza (cookies also accepted) to peter-garrett [at] ubuntu.com ====================================================================== ####### INX-34 ####### Colours can now be flipped ( 8 alternative colour schemes) Default colour scheme is green & gold Boot screen now INX, not Ubuntu. Removed non-functioning entries from boot-up menu. /usr/local/bin/playinx is a script using mplayer for streams from elinks. Works for most formats including shoutcast and m3u , and some video streams urlview now included, so CTRL+B works in Mutt (lists urls in mail) Tutorial 4 added.
